Lot Essay

It is interesting to note that though the Chinese were copying Bow, Bow originally copied these dishes from Dutch Delft. A very similar dish in the Burghley House Collection, England, is illustrated in Porcelain for Palaces, see Ayers, Impey and Mallet, p. 114, pl. 69.
