Lot Essay

The design for an idential clock is illustrated in U. Tillander-Godenhielm, et al, Golden Years of Fabergé, drawings and objects from the Wigström workshops, Graulhet, 2000, pl. 309 with the inventory number '12861. 12.IV.1912' in gold and '13135. 25.VI.1912' in silver. This appears to have been a popular design.
