Formed as a Prussian Foot Guards shako, the back cast and chased with flaming grenades, the front with the arms of King Frederick the Great of Prussia, all within shells and scrolls, the base engraved with an inscription, in distressed leather case, marked on rim
5 in. (13 cm.) high
The inscription reads 'Dem Prinzen Georg v Griechenland KH: Das Offijierkorps I Garde Regiments zu Fuss 1909', which translated reads 'The Prince George of Greece: From the Officer Corps of the 1st Garde Regiment of Foot 1909.'
