MARK OF PETER AND ANN BATEMAN, LONDON, 1797
Navette shaped on oval foot, with reeded swing handle, the body chased and engraved with a band of foliate and two laurel-leaf cartouches, one engraved with Greek cypher below Greek Royal crown, marked on foot
6¾ in. (17 cm.) long
6 oz. (198 gr.)
The cypher is that of King George II of the Hellenes (1890-1947).
