The Birmingham sculptor George Clarke (d.1842), a pupil of Chantrey, exhibited this bust of John Viscount Encombe at the 1834 Birmingham Society of Arts (See R. Gunnis, Dictionary of British Sculptors 1660-1851, London, 1951, p.104)
