The distinctive pierced quatrefoil ogees of the cornice recall those from a cabinet-on-stand supplied to Elizabeth, Countess of Warwick in 1773 (sold Chrisrie's London, 9 July 1998, lot 15). That cabinet has been linked with the Wakefield firm Messrs. Wright and Elwick on the basis of a similar cabinet still in the Fitzwilliam family collections from Wentworth Woodhouse, Yorkshire.
