a finely engraved and detailed portrait of the famous whaleship Ann Alexander of New Bedford, Mass. Displayed on a mahogany stand with a brass plaque inscribed: "The Whale Ship/Ann Alexander/Of New Bedford/1805-1851 Isaac Fessenden Sawtell/Her Captain 1845-1859". Signed lower left side. Along with an article Sunk by a Whale from the Panama Herald, November 21, 1851; a pair of period photographs of Capt. Deblois and his wife; a first edition copy of The Ship Ann Alexander of New Bedford 1802-1851 by Clement Cleveland Sawtell and inscribed by the author, October 1962.
