Lot Essay

Son of the artist John Millais (1865-1931) and grandson of Sir John Everett Millais, Bt., P.R.A. (1829-1896), Raoul was educated at the Byam Shaw School of Art and then the Royal Academy Schools. He is best known for his sporting scenes and animal pictures.
