The original, on canvas, 104 x 124 cm, executed circa 1670, is in the Prado (inv. no. 964). It was already recorded in the Spanish royal collection in the 18th century (see Museo del Prado - Inventario general de pinturas, I, la coleción real, 1990, p. 72, no. 202, with ill.)
