A Japanese ivory model of a farmer and child, 19th century
carved as a farmer wearing robes and pantaloons seated on a fruit basket, holding a hammer in one hand and handing a bunch of grapes to a standing child with the other, both beside another fruit basket, a bunch of grapes and a scythe placed on mats, incised marks -- 5¾in. (14.6cm.) high.
