delicately rendered with gentle expression the figure of Kannon stands holding a leafy sprig in her left hand and a water sprinkler in her right atop rock work with a small boy at her feet, wearing long flowing robes, headress and veil, patterned with flowers and butterflies embellished with small pieces of mother of pearl and horn, incised signature to the base -- 93/4in (24.8cm) high, with wooden stand
