A Japanese ivory okimono modelled as a ball of rats, Tomotada mark, Edo period
carved as a group of rats climbing on top of each other including a smaller rat, their eyes picked out in horn, the bodies with finely incised lines simulating the fur and terminating in a long tail, incised Tomotada mark -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) wide.
