A Japanese gilt lacquer inro and ivory netsuke, 19th Century
the inro decorated on the exterior in low relief with a gnarled pine, the cord applied with a coral ojime and a signed ivory netsuke in the form of a kneeling worker possibly leveling a wooden board with a plane tool -- the inro 2¾in. (6.9cm.) high.
