A TIBETO CHINESE GILT-COPPER FIGURE OF SYAMATARA, seated in lalitasana on a lotus, her right foot resting on a smaller lotus emerging from the main one, her right hand in varadamudra and holding the stem of the lotus, flowering along her shoulder, her left in a form of vitarkamudra and holding the stem of lotus, flowering along her shoulder, wearing dhoti, shawl, the sash falling on the base, many body-ornaments, her face with downcast expression, urna, aquiline nose, smiling lips, elongated earlobes with circular ear-rings, five-leaf crown, pattras, blue painted hairdress and high conical hairdress, surmounted by a ratna, sealed, the front of base with six-character mark of Yongle and of the period (A.D. 1403-1424)
