A Thai gilt-lacquered bronze figure of Buddha, 19th century
modelled seated in dhyanasana on a triple tiered stepped throne, the hands held in dhyana mudra, wearing elaborately decorated robes and headdress with tall usnisha flanked by winged flanges, the face with a serene expresion and eyes downcast, traces of red pigment to the base -- 9 7/8in. (25.1cm.) high.
