A Samson beaker vase, late 19th century, lamp mounts
decorated with Chinese figures engaged in leisurely pursuits amidst pavilions within a fenced garden, below a fruiting tree, birds and butterflies and a moulded ruyi-head border around the rim, all reserved on a pale-celadon ground with floral scrolls, the inner rim and foot with bands of butterflies and floral scrolls on gilt ground -- the porcelain 14 3/8in. (36.5cm.) high.
