the high-sided bowl decorated in underglaze blue, gilt and enamel with a central roundel in the well of birds and flowers surrounded by large peony heads and other flowering branches, the outside with four large foliate cartouches painted with chrysanthemum flowers above a floral border -- 9¾in (23.8cm) diam.; the dish with four sectioned panels to the interior with a central floral roundel and floral border around the rim, the outside with small plum blossom sprigs and chrysanthemum heads -- 13¾in.
