FIRST EDITION of this famous Swedish cookery book written by the 'mother of Swedish cooking'. Cajsa Warg's attitude towards cooking is summed up in her saying 'you take what you have', now a Swedish proverb. She served as a housekeeper in aristocratic households in Stockholm, and worked only for the Upper Classes. This is her first cook book, which became an instant success because it lists exact descriptions for all receipts (weights, cooking time, etc.) and the fact that Cajsa Warg uses easily accessible ingredients.
