Kim Linton was born in Busan and received her MFA from Illinois State University in 1976. Since 1976 she has had numerous one-person and group exhibitions in Korea, the United States, Japan and Europe. Kim had one-person exhibitions at the Myungdong Gallery, Seoul, in 1976, the Gallery Yeh, Seoul, in 1983, 1991, 1997 and 2000, the Park Ryo Sook Gallery, Seoul, in 1993, the Allrich Gallery, San Francisco, in 1993, the Walsh Gallery, Chicago, in 1998, the Chosun Ilbo Museum, Seoul, in 1998 and at the Kong Gan gallery, Busan, in 2002. Her work was exhibited at the FIAC International Art Fair, Paris, in 1996.
