Lot Essay

Andrée Simon was taught by André Lhôte, whom she befriended through-out her life. The geometrical abstract forms in her work arose in 1947, when she worked with artists such as Degand and Dewasne and participated in group exhibitions of the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles in Paris.
