Engraved titles and frontispieces, long list of subscribers arranged in alphabetical order by towns (some margins lightly spotted and waterstained). Contemporary sheep-backed boards, compartments of spines ruled in gilt (a trifle worn). Provenance: Illegible signature on titles. A good edition of this classic on penal reform first printed in 1764. PMM 209 (for the first edition).
