FIRST ILLUSTRATED EDITION IN AN ATTRACTIVE BINDING. Fully engraved by leading artists of the time, it presents in particular a fine view of Rome highlighting the buildings dedicated to St Ignatius. Friend of the Jesuits' founder, Ribadeneyra had also written two years earlier the first bibliography of the order. RARE: not in Palau, only one copy at auction in the past 30 years; Graesse VI, 106.
