A LARGE GOLD-SPLASHED BRONZE PEAR-SHAPED VASE, HU

The lower body cast in relief on each side with a mythical beast, one a xinui walking atop clouds while vapor rising from its body supports the moon, above a band of petal lappets and below a band of archaistic dragon scroll with confronted dragon heads on each side, those on one side flanking an apocryphal Xuande mark centered by a flaming pearl, the latter is repeated on the reverse, with a pair of scroll handles, splashed overall with gold in contrast to the dark olive-brown patina
