Mongolia, Zanabazar School, late 17th/early 18th century
Standing in alidhasana on a lotus base brandishing the vajra, wearing a tiger skin tied around his waist and a billowing sash flaring to the sides, his face with teeth bared and the third eye surmounted by a foliate tiara and flaming hair, with cold gold and polychromy remaining on face and hair, richly gilt overall, an inscription at the front of the base, sealed and incised with a gilt visvavajra
