A Japanese ivory netsuke, signed Hidemasa, 19th Century
of a frog with large bulging eyes, details finely rendered and stained, carrying an offspring on its shoulder, eyes inlaid, with signature and kao; another, of a cicada standing on a a nut shell -- maximum 1½in. (3.8cm.) long. (2)
