with rounded sides decorated with two rows of overlapping lotus petals with a projecting lower row and a painted upper row forming a barbed rim, the interior with a central medallion of a Sanskrit character encircled by two ruyi-head bands, below the cavetto with lotus petals enclosing trefoil motifs, the exterior row with painted lappets below a second lappet row with Sanskrit characters alternating with floral sprays, underglaze blue conch shell mark -- 6¼in. (15.8cm.) diam.
