A large Cantonese famille rose vase, 19th century
of elongated oviform shape with a waisted neck and foliated rim, the neck applied with handles modelled as a Buddhistic lion and cub clutching a ball, with four dragons applied to the shoulder, the body decorated with panels enclosing dignitaries and warriors at court, a war party, dignitaries and ladies at leisure, birds and fish, all reserved on a foliated and floral ground with phoenix and birds, the neck similarly decorated -- 52 7/8in.
