A Pair of Chinese famille rose moonflasks, 19th century
with twin gilt scrolling dragon handles, the central roundel painted in coloured enamels with equestrian warriors and dignitaries, attendants on foot carrying swords and banners to their feet, before a mountainous landscape, a pair of long tailed birds perched on rockwork amongst peony and prunus blossoms to the reverse side, surrounded by scrolling lotus flowers on an blue enamelled ground -- 16½in. (42cm.) high. (2)
