A Chinese grisaille and gilt 'Resurrection' dish, circa 1740
decorated en grisaille heightened in gilt with Christ enveloped by clouds rising above a seated figure of the Angel Gabriel, with five Roman soldiers lying asleep in the foreground, with three small figures in the background, encircled by a a border of flowers and fruiting branches entwined with strapwork and scrolls on the rim; and a famille rose 'Cherry Pickers' dish, enamelled with a young man on a ladder picking cherries from a tree and dropping them into the lap of a lady standing beside another lady seated by a basket and a dog, the rim with a gold and iron-red rope-twist band, circa 1775-1780 -- 9¼in. (23.4cm.) diam. (2)
