A matched pair of Chinese blue and white square dishes, probably 17th century
each of square-section form, the centre painted with a single foliate lotus blossom, the cavetto with a composite floral scroll including lotus, day-lilies, chrysanthemum and other flowers, with a honeycomb pattern on the rim, the undersides with crested waves -- maximum 5½in. (14cm.) wide. (2)
