painted in the centre with a writhing ferocious four-clawed dragon and carp above crested waves, the rim with demi-flowerheads amidst crashing waves, the reverse with Buddhistic Emblems alternating with floral sprays, underglaze blue ding mark; and a blue and white saucer-dish, painted with three men and a lady seated in a boat engaged in eating and drinking, below a willow tree amidst rockwork, the undersides with two scenes of a pagoda in a mountainous landscape, underglaze blue six-character Chenghua mark, Kangxi -- 6 7/16in.
