Two Chinese blue and white dishes, 17th century
the first, painted with a central medallion enclosing a scholar seated by books beside a table laden with a censer and vase by rockwork and below an inscription, underglaze blue mark; the second, painted in the centre with a boy carrying a musical instrument before a fenced garden by a willow tree, underglaze blue mark -- the largest 8 1/8in. (20.6cm.) diam. (2)
