A SMALL CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'SENSE OF SMELL' DISH, KANGXI
painted with a scene of three figures in European dress and wigs, standing on a veranda holding flower sprays, attended by a servant holding a basket with more flowers, all within a decorative border painted with flowering peony branches, stylised rockwork and a pair of birds, the exterior painted with three peony sprigs, an artemisia leaf within a double circle to the base -- 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.)
