A Chinese famille rose slender tapering vase on a yellow ground, early 19th Century
of hexagonal form, delicately painted on four sides in coloured enamels depicting four immortals, two bearded men wearing long flowing robes, a maiden with a sword to her waist, holding a long handled spear and a warrior figure in armour, a bow slung over his shoulder, the neck decorated with four pendant and vase formed cartouches bearing calligraphic inscriptions -- 12 5/8in. (32cm) high.
