Each of lobed bombé form and raised on three scroll feet issuing from acanthus, painted with fancy birds in landscape vignettes and with loose bouquets in the style of Meissen deutsche Blumen, the interior with a flower spray

Lot Essay

Although the bird painting on the present small dishes is typical of mid-18th century Derby production, the flower painting is closer to that found at Chelsea. The form itself would appear to be unrecorded.
