A PAIR OF PARIS VASES
CIRCA 1790-1820
Each of baluster form with burnished gilt upright handles issuing from acanthus and terminating in gilt biscuit female masks, the everted mouth gilt with trailing flowers within a gilt dentil rim, the neck and lower portion gilt with foliate scrolls, the front painted with birds perched in branches, the reverse with a large bouquet of flowers, insects flying above, the socle with pink roses, drilled and mounted as a lamp and raised on a Belgian marble base set into a gilt wood plinth
