FRENCH, LATE 18TH EARLY 19TH CENTURY
One depicting a maiden holding aloft a grape vine in her left hand and a wine cup in her right hand, and supported by a seated satyr with a cupid holding a quiver and grapes alongside, the other depicting a maiden holding aloft a laurel-entwined staff in her right hand, and supported by a seated satyr with a young satyr playing the pipes alongside, each with musical instruments on the ground and on an integral circular base and a further, later giltwood and grey-painted columnar base, the bases each inscribed twice in red chalk '52219' and the base to second group inscribed '52219' in yellow paint, losses to terracottas
