Mark of Fa. J.M. van Kempen & Zonen, Voorschoten, 1908, Amsterdam, 1961 and 1962, stamped 835
The casters each on circular base, plain vase shaped body with beaded swags, the high domed cover pierced with scrolls and pine-corn finial, overall with beaded rims, the cocks realistically modelled, the bread-basket boat-shaped, the openwork sides pierced with slats and scrolling foliage, beaded upper rim, marked on bases, bodies, covers and tails
the casters 24 cm. high, the bread-basket 27.2 cm. wide
