AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY FRENCH PROVINCIAL SILVER SNUFFERS TRAY,
MARK ATTRIBUTED TO JACQUES DUBAINE or ETIENNE DESBARBES, BAYONNE, CIRCA 1710,
Bone-shaped, the scroll handle with fluted thumb-piece, on four stump feet, engraved armorial to centre, ALSO a pair of associated snuffers, mark of ?D over P, Bayonne, first half of 18th century, (town mark crowned AB conjoined with ampersand between two pellets below), 8 5/8 in. long (21.7 cm.), 12 oz. (2)
