A LARGE VICTORIAN SILVER-MOUNTED TRAVELLING DRESSING-TABLE SET,
MARK OF MESSRS.BETJEMANN, LONDON, 1877,
Comprising ten mounted cut-glass bottles & five similarly mounted leather pots & boxes, (one bottle a later date & by a different maker), a hand mirror & a pair of small vanity mirrors, 14 various manicure items (& five more absent), contained in a white metal bound mahogany box lined in blue velvet, with mirror set into interior of cover, the box with four hinged compartments or layers that swing open, the lower two each fitted with a drawer, the front dropping down to contain the three hand/vanity mirrors.
