Lot Essay

Sea Pigeon is among the most notable horses for excelling in both flat and hurdle racing. He won the Chester cup twice (1978 and 1979) and more famously battled against Monksfield to win the most prestigous Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, 1980 and 1981, being the eldest horse ever to do so.
