J. Felkl in Prag, late 19th-Century
the globe made-up of twelve chromolithographed gores laid to the polar calottes, with geographical information, the equator, ecliptic and prime meridian graduated, showing the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, the north and south poles, and ocean currents, with graduated brass meridian ring, the applied paper horizon graduated with compass points, months of the year and houses of the Zodiac, mounted on an ebonised tripod stand with compass supported on brass stretchers
