Carved Wood Imperial Presentation Dish
K. Sholtz Workshop, Moscow, circa 1896
Circular with scalloped border, carved throughout with foliate arabesques in the Old Russian style and Imperial double-headed eagles at intervals, the center with crowned Imperial monogram of Nicholas II against an ermine mantling, encircled by the Russian inscription "To Their Imperial Majesties from the Customs Artels in Verzhbolov" and dated 1896, signed on reverse.
