A late Ming blue and white saucer dish
Wanli six character mark, 17th Century
Painted to the central medallion with a scholar seated on a riverbank and accompanied by two young servants, the trellis-pattern sides reserved with four cartouches enclosing pairs of swimming ducks, black specks to glaze, rim crack and frits
31.5 cm. diam.
