Lot Essay

The design of this runner appears to consist purely of borders. A very similar example with polychrome octagons but woven in Moghan in the South Caucasus, is illustrated by Ulrich Schurmann; Caucasian Rugs, Braunschweig, 1965, no.60, pp.182-3.
