A CORE-FORMED GLASS AMPHORISKOS
CIRCA 6TH-4TH CENTURY B.C., EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN
The dark blue body wound with opaque turquoise and yellow zigzags between horizontal yellow and turquoise bands, yellow trail around the neck and around the edge of the rim, with twin applied handles and knob foot, silver iridescence; and another similar core-formed glass aryballos, wound with opaque turquoise and yellow zigzags and trails, 6th-4th Century B.C., Eastern Mediterranean
3 5/8 in. (9.2 cm.) and 2¼ in. (5.6 cm.) high respectively (2)
