TWO EGYPTIAN FRAGMENTARY LIMESTONE 'MILITARY' STELAI
LATE DYNASTY XVIII/EARLY DYNASTY XIX, CIRCA 1300 B.C.
One showing a votive soldier and his wife kneeling and praying before a shrine in which is depicted a scene of a smiting Pharaoh before Ptah, on either side cartouches (names blank); and another stela depicting a man praying before an altar of offerings, inscription to his right reading: "Soldier of shtp ntrw"
5¼ in. (13.3 cm.) and 5¾ in. (14.5 cm.) high respectively (2)
