MIDDLE KINGDOM, DYNASTY XI/XII, CIRCA 2133-1786 B.C.
With twin vestigial handles, 2 in. (5 cm.) high; an alabaster alabastron with twin vestigial 'duck' handles, 3 5/8 in. (9.3 cm.) high; two similar alabaster alabastra, 2¾ in. (7 cm.) high max, all circa 6th-5th Century B.C.; a black basalt cosmetic dish, Late Period, circa 6th-3rd Century B.C., 3½ in. (9 cm.) diam.; a stone polisher, of rounded form, 1 in. (2.5 cm.) high; a stone spindle top, pierced through the middle; and three bone spindle whorls, each decorated with dotted circles, 1 3/8 in. (3.5 cm.) diam. max., all late 1st millennium B.C./early 1st millennium A.D. (10)

In the collection of the present owner's grandfather, Jakob Koller, who lived in Egypt in the late 19th and early 20th Century.
