TWO LURISTAN BRONZE PINS
EARLY 1ST MILLENNIUM B.C.
Each with terminal composed of ibex head with lion attacking from behind, 10 in. (25.5 cm.) long max; a silver pin, the shaft decorated with bands of hatching and incised zigzags, 7½ in. (19 cm.) long; four bronze pins, including two with pierced shafts and two with large spherical terminals, 19½ in. (49.5 cm.) long max.; a bronze figure of a ram, the body in the form of an openwork cage, 4 in. (10 cm.) long; a bronze finial in the form of an ibex head, the shaft decorated with geometric patterns, 5 in. (12.5 cm.) long, all 1st millennium B.C.; eight 'Ziwiye' turquoise faience biconical beads, 9th-8th Century B.C., all mounted; a Luristan bronze spouted vessel, the globular body with long channelled spout attached by ten domed rivets, 6½ in. (16.5 cm.) high; a similar bronze vessel with small handle decorated with the standing figure of an ibex, both early 1st millennium B.C., 4 in. (10 cm.) high; and a bronze bowl, 7¼ in. (18.5 cm.) diam. (20)
