Formed of three thick gold wire strands intertwined in a spiral shape, tapering to overlapping wire terminal

Formerly the property of Alan Chivers, "found in 1964 on his father-in-law's farm at Great Bromley [near Colchester, Essex] while he was preparing some ground for sugar beet": sold Sotheby's London, 1 December 1969, lot 70.
English private collection; a gift to the present owner from her late husband, 1969.
